Position Overview
The Medical Assistant – Clinical (MA-C) is responsible for ensuring clinical readiness and provider efficiency . This role directly supports patient care by preparing patients, maintaining accurate clinical information, and enabling providers to operate at peak performance.
Core Responsibilities
Patient Preparation
- Room patients and obtain vitals
- Prepare charts and ensure all required information is available
- Confirm reason for visit and update patient history
Clinical Workflow Support
- Assist providers with documentation and patient flow
- Ensure all clinical tasks are completed prior to provider interaction
- Maintain exam room readiness and organization
Coordination & Accuracy
- Communicate patient needs and updates to providers
- Ensure accuracy of clinical data and documentation inputs
Performance Expectations
- Patient readiness prior to provider entry
- Accuracy of vitals and chart preparation
