About this role

Step into the operating room. Help surgeons treat their patients better.

Most sales jobs end at a conference table. This one puts you in the OR, side by side with orthopedic surgeons, as the expert on the products they rely on during the case. If you’re competitive, curious and ready to learn a craft that few people ever master, we’ll train you to do it at the highest level.

Who We Are

Since 2013, Arthrex Indianapolis has represented Arthrex, a recognized leader in orthopedic innovation and in cadaveric, hands-on surgical training. We’re headquartered in Indianapolis, with offices in South Bend and Evansville, and our brand-new, state-of-the-art HQ hosts medical education and instructional courses for surgeons across the region.

What sets us apart is the relationships. We earn our place in the OR by being genuinely useful to our surgeons and their teams, every single case.

The Opportunity

As an Associate Sales Representative, you’ll own sales goals for your assigned territory by building and maintaining strong relationships with surgeons, staff and facilities. After an extensive training program, you’ll support live surgical cases and become the go-to resource on one of the industry’s leading product portfolios.

What Your Day Looks Like

No two days are the same. You might start early at one hospital, arriving before the patient goes under and staying through the entire case, then drive to another facility for an afternoon procedure. You’ll spend real time in the car, real time in scrubs, and real time solving problems for surgeons who count on you.

What You’ll Do

- Represent Arthrex Indianapolis, an independent agency authorized to sell Arthrex products, providing daily support to surgeon-customers and their staff in the operating room
- Build and execute sales strategies that hit your territory’s goals
- Keep current and new accounts informed on product updates, portfolio changes and educational programs
- Identify the needs of new prospects and respond with clear, timely solutions in writing, by phone and in person
- Cross-sell additional products and lead new product introductions as they launch
- Keep your edge through ongoing training in sales skills, product features and benefits, and key business tools
- Attend sales meetings and professional association events, including some outside regular business hours
- Bring real passion to our mission: Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better

We’ll Teach You the Rest

Very few people walk into this role with everything it takes to earn the trust of highly trained surgeons, and we don’t expect you to. Our comprehensive training program covers medical education, products, surgical techniques, sales strategy and service skills, so you’re fully prepared before you take the lead in the OR.

What You Bring

- 1 to 2 years of sales experience in healthcare and/or competitive B2B sales (preferred)
- Comfort working in an operating room environment
- Sharp attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and the discipline to follow up quickly
- Sound judgment with confidential information, a commitment to ethics and integrity, and adherence to applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, and accreditation and licensure requirements

What We Offer

- Medical, vision and dental insurance, starting on your first day
- Paid time off
- Parental leave
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid credentialing
- Company-observed holidays
- Training and career development opportunities
