About this role
You’ve built a career in the OR. Come help set the standard in South Bend.
You already know what it takes to earn a surgeon’s trust: showing up early, staying through every case, and knowing the products better than anyone in the room. We’re looking for a seasoned orthopedic sales professional who still loves the work in the OR and wants to help a strong market get even stronger, alongside a team that will benefit from everything you’ve learned along the way.
Who We Are
Since 2013, Arthrex Indianapolis has represented Arthrex, a recognized leader in orthopedic innovation and in cadaveric, hands-on surgical training. We’re headquartered in Indianapolis, with offices in South Bend and Evansville, and our brand-new, state-of-the-art HQ hosts medical education and instructional courses for surgeons across the region.
We win on relationships, expertise and service, and we’re proud of the team that delivers it every day.
The Opportunity
As the Orthopedic Sales Lead for the South Bend market, you’ll be a hands-on, in-the-OR expert first, driving results through deep relationships with surgeons, staff and facilities. You’ll also be a steady, experienced presence for the South Bend team, the person others turn to for answers, coaching and perspective, and a key partner to leadership on how the market grows. You’ll also own our South Bend office and lab, turning it into a hub for surgeon education and a space our customers want to visit.
What You’ll Do
- Provide expert, daily OR support to surgeon-customers and their staff, representing Arthrex Indianapolis, an independent agency authorized to sell Arthrex products
- Drive sales growth across the South Bend market and help shape the strategy behind it
- Grow existing accounts and develop new surgeon and facility relationships
- Take ownership of the South Bend office as the home base for the market, keeping it organized, professional and ready for customers at all times
- Oversee the inventory room and lab, maintaining accurate, well-managed inventory and making sure the space is equipped and ready for training and product demonstrations
- Bring surgeons and their teams into the South Bend office for hands-on lab sessions, product training and educational events, making it a destination surgeons value and want to return to
- Lead new product introductions and cross-selling efforts across the portfolio
- Serve as a go-to resource for the South Bend team on case coverage, product expertise and customer service
- Help onboard and develop newer representatives through ride-alongs, case support and coaching
- Help coordinate coverage and day-to-day priorities in the market, working closely with teammates to keep surgeons fully supported
- Partner with leadership on market planning, account strategy and team development, bringing a field-level perspective to the conversation
- Represent the South Bend team at sales meetings, training events and professional association meetings, including some outside regular business hours
- Model the standard of service behind our mission: Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better
What You Bring
- 5+ years of orthopedic or medical device sales experience, with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding quota
- Extensive experience supporting live surgical cases and deep comfort in the OR
- A reputation for credibility with surgeons and OR staff
- Experience mentoring, training or informally leading other representatives (formal management experience is a plus, not a requirement)
- Experience organizing surgeon education, lab sessions or customer events (preferred)
- Strong business acumen and the ability to think strategically about a market
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first approach
- Sound judgment with confidential information, a commitment to ethics and integrity, and adherence to applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, and accreditation and licensure requirements
Why You’ll Want to Be Here
You’ll join an established team, a respected brand and a company that values experience. You’ll have a real voice in how the South Bend market operates and real room to grow your impact over time.
