About this role
About the role:
The Senior Carbon Project Data Coordinator owns the stove-level and financial data behind BURN's carbon investor projects. The role tracks stoves from factory to end user, reconciles carbon databases with BI and sales data, produces investor reporting and forecasts, and automates this work. Analysis and automation are core to the role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Stove tracking and data management
• Track serialised stoves from manufacturing to end-user sale for carbon-deal stoves.
• Maintain carbon databases and investor master files.
• Run QA/QC on carbon databases before verification: geographic completeness, consistency, duplicate or invalid customer records to validate non-creditable registrations.
• Keep supporting records: supplier invoices, purchase orders, bills of lading, shipping invoices, customs forms and goods-in-transit records.
2. Python and advanced data analysis
• Build and maintain Python scripts that clean, validate and reconcile stove, shipment and sales data, replacing manual Excel steps and avoiding excess stock.
• Automate recurring outputs: monthly reconciliations, investor data packs and report checks.
• Analyse project data for trends and risks, such as stoves scanned to one entity but not recorded in the transaction chain.
• Build and maintain dashboards (Power BI or equivalent), including the automated investor reporting dashboard.
3. Forecasting, budgeting and costing
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual carbon deal forecasts, and weekly distribution and shipment forecasts by investor and market.
• Track actual vs budgeted distribution and update development budgets with actual shipments and sales.
• Prepare weekly cash forecasts aligned with production and shipments.
4. Coordination and process improvement
• Work with supply chain, field operations, warehouse, commercial, sales operations and BI teams to keep milestones on track and close data gaps.
• Support purchase order requests for investor stoves, including costing and entity checks.
• Document processes and checklists for carbon deals.
• Carry out other duties as required by management.
Skills and Requirements:
Essential
• Advanced Excel: lookups, pivot tables, Power Query and financial models.
• Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
• Python for data analysis
• SQL and Power BI or similar dashboard tools.
• Proficiency with AI tools.
• Data reconciliation and QA.
• Forecasting and budget vs actual analysis.
Desirable
• Knowledge of the carbon project cycle.
• Experience with supply chain, inventory or distribution data.
Qualifications and experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, data science, statistics, engineering, economics or operations.
• 3+ years in data analysis, reporting or project coordination. Carbon, MRV, energy or supply-chain experience is an advantage.
• Clear written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.
