About the Role
You will be responsible for the preparation and supply of sterile compounded medications prepared in the Pharmacy Compounding Hub, in compliance with the department’s standard operating procedures, work instructions, as well as regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for maintaining strict compliance with aseptic compounding practices to comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of sterile compounded drugs (i.e., cytotoxic drugs, immunotherapy agents, clinical trials drugs, etc.)
- Managing of cytotoxic waste/spills and handling of hazardous drugs
- Maintaining strict compliance with aseptic compounding practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and other cleanroom protocols in accordance with GMP requirements
- Participating in quality improvement and medication safety initiatives
- Performing routine cleaning of cleanroom facilities and compounding equipment
- Support cleanroom qualification, validation and maintenance activities
- Assisting in procurement and replenishment activities to ensure uninterrupted supply of drugs, consumables and other cleanroom supplies
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science or GCE ‘O’ Level with a Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification from the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore
- Experience in aseptic compounding and sterile manufacturing is an advantage
- Knowledgeable in Pharmaceutical Inspection Convention (PIC/s) USP or other equivalent sterile compounding standards
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Able to work effectively in a time-sensitive environment
