Job Requirements

At Quest Global, it’s not just what we do but how and why we do it that makes us different. With over 25 years as an engineering services provider, we believe in the power of doing things differently to make the impossible possible. Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place—to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future. We bring together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture, to solve problems better and faster.

Key Responsibilities
As the Product Manager for P&DI for energy sector data products (specifically, areas like solar), you will own the product lifecycle of our offerings and also run program management across the product portfolio. Your responsibilities will be to:

• Own the vision, strategy and roadmap for relevant products, from opportunity discovery and business case through launch, scale-up and lifecycle management.

• Translate utility, C&I and consumer needs into clear problem statements, PRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria, and prioritise the backlog against business value, effort and risk.

• Work closely with Engineering, Data Science, IoT/hardware, Design and Operations teams to deliver products on time and with high quality, running sprint planning, reviews and release readiness.

• Define pricing, packaging and go-to-market plans for new energy products in partnership with Sales, Marketing and Partnerships, and support pilots and early customer deployments.

• Define product KPIs and success metrics (adoption, energy savings, revenue, reliability, customer satisfaction), and use data and customer feedback to iterate on the product.

• Run program management across all P&DI products for energy: maintain an integrated plan of milestones, dependencies, risks and resourcing, and drive cross-functional alignment on timelines and scope.

• Set up and run a consistent program governance rhythm, including status reporting, risk and issue escalation, change control and steering reviews with senior leadership.

• Track budgets, vendor and partner deliverables, and compliance with regulatory, security, data privacy and enterprise standards across programs.

• Conduct market, competitor and regulatory research in the energy sector (solar, storage, EV charging, smart metering, demand response, energy analytics) to shape product direction.

• Build reusable product and program playbooks, templates and tools that improve predictability and speed across teams.

• Communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, customers and partners, and act as a thought partner who challenges assumptions and adapts priorities as needs change.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from a reputed university. An MBA or advanced degree will be an added advantage.

• 4–6 years of experience in product management, with at least 1–2 years running multi-team programs or projects, preferably in energy, utilities, IoT, cleantech or B2B technology.

• Proven track record of taking a product from concept to launch and scale, including writing PRDs, managing backlogs and working in agile teams.

• Strong program management skills: planning, dependency and risk management, stakeholder governance and delivery tracking across multiple concurrent initiatives.

• Good understanding of the energy value chain and technologies such as solar, battery storage, EV charging, smart meters, and energy management or analytics platforms.

• Working knowledge of IoT and data-driven products, including APIs, platform architecture, dashboards and analytics, with the ability to engage credibly with engineering teams.

• Ability to build business cases, pricing models and financial plans, and to define and track product metrics using data (SQL, BI tools or similar).

• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project or equivalent, and with product and prototyping tools such as Figma.

• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
