About this role
Job Requirements
At Quest Global, it’s not just what we do but how and why we do it that makes us different. With over 25 years as an engineering services provider, we believe in the power of doing things differently to make the impossible possible. Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place—to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future. We bring together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture, to solve problems better and faster.
Key Responsibilities
• Implementation: Run onboarding plans covering data integration, configuration, UAT, go-live, and hypercare, with named owners and dates.
• Integration with customer IT and SIs: Work with DISCOM IT teams and their system integrators to scope, secure, and sign off data feeds from source systems such as SCADA, HES/MDM, billing/CIS, and GIS. Resolve data access, security, and environment-readiness blockers.
• On-site presence: Be on-site at critical milestones (kickoffs, UAT, go-live, steering reviews, and escalations).
• Governance: Run weekly delivery reviews with the customer’s project team and prepare monthly steering committee updates, presented with senior management. Maintain the RAID log and drive issues to closure.
• SLAs and quality: Track uptime, data-quality, and incident SLAs. Coordinate root-cause analyses and report on them transparently.
• Adoption and value: Help control-room and field users adopt the product, and track outcomes against what was sold.
• Commercial hygiene: Flag change requests and scope creep early. Support milestone-based invoicing and pass renewal and upsell signals to GTM.
• Internal bridge: Turn field feedback into prioritized product and data-science requests with clear business impact.
Education
• Required: Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Telecommunications, or Computer Science/IT.
• A plus: MBA/PGDM or a postgraduate degree in engineering, technology management, or power systems.
• Certifications (a plus): PMP or PRINCE2 for project management; ITIL Foundation for service management; Agile/Scrum for iterative delivery.
Must-have experience and skills
• 6–8 years in enterprise software, utility-tech, or systems-integration delivery, including at least 3 years on power, energy, or smart-grid projects.
• Working knowledge of utility data systems: SCADA, AMI (HES/MDM), billing/CIS, and GIS. You need to understand how data flows and breaks, not configure the systems.
• Hands-on experience working with DISCOM or utility IT teams and system integrators on integration, data access, and security approvals.
• Ability to read an API specification, data schema, or integration design, and to challenge an SI’s timeline. This is not a coding role.
• Experience with government or PSU customers: procurement cycles, approval layers, and multi-stakeholder dynamics.
• Proficiency with project tools and reporting (MS Project or Jira, delivery dashboards).
• Willingness to travel, and fluency in Hindi and/or the relevant regional language.
