Head Sommelier | Season 2027 Castello di Casole, A Belmond Hotel in Tuscany

At Castello di Casole, a Belmond Hotel, we are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Head Sommelier, who will curate exceptional wine experiences and pairings for our discerning guests.

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities Include

- Present the wine list, provide expert wine pairing advice, and conduct tableside wine service with elegance.

- Manage wine cellar inventory, proper bottle storage, temperature control, and wine list updates.

- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design harmonious food-and-wine tasting menus.

- Conduct wine tasting sessions and internal product training for the restaurant service team.

- Assist with wine purchasing, supplier relations, and beverage cost management.

What You Bring

- Official Sommelier Certification (AIS, FISAR, WSET Level 3/Diploma, or CMS).

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sommelier in luxury hotels or Michelin-starred dining.

- Comprehensive knowledge of Italian, international, and rare vintage wines.

- Exceptional guest storytelling ability, humility, and warmth.

- Fluent in Italian and English.
