Apprentice - Install Technician - Fire Systems

FSS Technologies is hiring an Apprentice Installation Technician to learn the trade alongside experienced fire alarm installers. You will help install fire alarm and fire system equipment, learn to read blueprints, and build hands-on skills on real job sites. No experience is needed, just a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Position Overview

The Apprentice Installation Technician – Fire Safety is an important member of the FSS Technologies team, contributing to our mission to protect lives and property through industry-leading life safety and electronic security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist senior technicians with installation of fire alarm and fire system hardware.

- Learn to read blueprints and follow technical instructions.

- Maintain tools, vehicles, and work areas in clean, safe condition.

- Track parts and inventory used during projects.

- Document work performed under guidance.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required but are not necessarily all-inclusive.

Education & Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Mechanical aptitude; no prior industry experience required.

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

- Willingness to complete on-the-job training and certifications.
