About this role

About the role As a Visual / Motion Designer at Keka, you’ll help define how motion and visual feedback work across a product used every day by thousands of employees and HR teams. You’ll build the first motion language for Keka, making interactions feel clear, confident and intentional rather than decorative. You’ll work closely with the Design System and Product teams to establish motion foundations, interaction states and visual patterns that can scale across the product. This is a hands-on individual contributor role where you’ll shape the systems, patterns and standards that make the product easier to understand and use.
What you’ll do

- Build Keka’s motion foundations, including duration, easing, choreography, performance budgets and reduced-motion principles
- Own feedback, loading and confirmation patterns across the product so users always understand what just happened and what is about to happen
- Co-own the interaction state model with the Design System Lead and establish reusable patterns that can scale across products
- Design empty states, first-run experiences and brand-in-product surfaces that make complex enterprise workflows feel clearer and more human
- Bring motion into Keka’s AI surfaces, particularly where communicating wait time, progress and system behavior is important to the user experience
- Define the visual side of accessibility, including contrast, focus visibility and avoiding colour only communication
- Partner closely with engineers to ensure motion and interaction systems are practical, performant and shipped to production.

What you’ll bring

- 2 to 4 years of experience designing motion and visual experiences for software products
- Strong experience with product motion, including transitions, interaction states and micro-interactions; this is not a film or brand-motion role
- A portfolio demonstrating motion that has been shipped to production, not only explored through prototypes
- Strong visual craft across typography, colour, spacing, hierarchy and composition
- The ability to think in systems and establish reusable rules rather than solving individual screens in isolation
- Ability to clearly specify motion for engineers, including duration, easing, trigger, entry and exit behavior
- Strong understanding of accessibility as part of product craft, not just compliance
- Experience working with modern motion and interaction tools such as Framer Motion, Rive, Lottie or CSS is a plus
- Experience with dense enterprise or admin products, design systems or AI product surfaces is a pl
