About this role

Meta's Global Technology Sourcing team drives technical innovation, supply chain customization, and cost efficiency across the infrastructure that powers AI, compute, and storage at hyperscale. The Sourcing Manager for Memory will serve as the primary commercial and strategic owner for DRAM, NAND, and emerging memory technologies that underpin Meta's AI training clusters, inference infrastructure, and data center storage systems. In this role, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies, lead supplier negotiations, and partner with hardware engineering and technology teams to shape memory roadmaps that meet Meta's performance, cost, and supply continuity requirements at global scale.

Responsibilities

Develop and own end-to-end sourcing strategies for memory categories including DRAM, NAND, and next-generation memory technologies across AI, compute, and storage infrastructure programs
Lead commercial negotiations with memory suppliers and ODM partners, including pricing, volume commitments, long-term supply agreements, and joint development arrangements
Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key memory suppliers, influencing supplier roadmaps, allocation priorities, and support models to align with Meta's technical and commercial requirements
Conduct total cost of ownership analysis and develop cost models to identify savings opportunities and inform make-versus-buy and technology migration decisions
Drive supplier RFQ processes, evaluate proposals, and formalize business awards in alignment with hardware engineering and infrastructure program timelines
Partner with hardware engineering, quality, and operations teams to support memory component qualification, new product introduction pilots, and mass production ramp for AI and data center platforms
Monitor and manage supplier performance through scorecards, business reviews, and corrective action plans, driving continuous improvement in yield, delivery, and quality
Synthesize supply market intelligence, technology trends, and competitive dynamics for memory categories and communicate findings and risk assessments to leadership
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks across the memory commodity landscape, including allocation constraints, geopolitical factors, and technology transitions
Collaborate with demand planning, finance, and infrastructure operations teams to align memory procurement strategies with capacity build plans and long-range infrastructure roadmaps

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or commodity management with direct responsibility for memory, semiconductor, or electronic components categories
8+ years of experience leading supplier negotiations, drafting supply agreements, and managing commercial relationships with memory or semiconductor vendors
Experience with memory technology categories such as DRAM, NAND, or emerging memory solutions in the context of compute, AI, or data center infrastructure
Experience using cost modeling, total cost of ownership analysis, and data-driven methods to inform sourcing decisions and deliver measurable cost, quality, or supply outcomes
Experience managing new product introduction and production ramp cycles for hardware components in large-scale infrastructure or hyperscale data center environments Experience sourcing memory components for AI training or inference infrastructure, including HBM or high-bandwidth memory technologies
Experience working cross-functionally with hardware engineering teams on component qualification, design-for-cost initiatives, and technology roadmap alignment
Familiarity with memory supplier ecosystems and ODM partner models in the context of custom or semi-custom hardware development
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize sourcing workflows and drive measurable efficiency or quality improvements
