Billing Assistant

We’re currently looking for a full-time Billing Assistant to join our Accounting Department! Great full-time first shift schedule of Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

A day in the life of a Decker Billing Assistant looks like:

- Answer phones and help drivers with question

- Process driver paperwork

- Verify paperwork is scanned with correct load

- Track scanning issues and reporting of results

- Assist with doc typing and ensuring documents are moved to the correct categories

- Work with payroll and accounts receivable

- Sort and hold termed driver paperwork

- Assist drivers with making washout decisions that are cost-efficient for the company; enter reimbursements of washouts to drivers and assist with backup of fuel department

- Authorize driver’s request for a truck wash to be charged to Decker’s Blue Beacon account

- Other duties as assigned

Billing Assistant Must Haves

- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced professional work environment

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Good keypunch, communication and cross reference skills

- A background in MS Office

- Accounting Experience

- Payroll Experience

Billing Assistant Nice to Haves

- 2 year Accounting degree or equivalent working experience preferred

- Knowledge of Transportation Industry
