Elemental Electric performs commercial electrical work across tenant improvement, commercial new construction, industrial, and data center projects throughout Colorado and surrounding states. We are hiring a senior Commercial Apprentice who is close to their journeyman license and ready to take on more responsibility in the field.

Position Summary

This role is for a registered apprentice with 4+ years of commercial electrical experience who can run assigned tasks with limited direction under journeyman supervision. You will work alongside foremen and journeymen on tenant improvement, commercial new construction, industrial, and data center projects, and help guide newer apprentices on the crew. Top performers will be supported in sitting for the Colorado Journeyman exam and stepping into a journeyman role with us.

Key Responsibilities

- Install conduit, cable tray, feeders, branch circuits, lighting, controls, and equipment under journeyman supervision
- Read and work from blueprints, specifications, panel schedules, and electrical plans
- Perform layout, rough-in, wire pulls, terminations, trim, device installation, and punch work
- Bend and install EMT, rigid, and PVC conduit to a professional standard
- Coordinate daily tasks with foremen and journeymen and communicate jobsite issues early
- Help train and guide less experienced apprentices
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Travel as required for assigned out-of-state projects

Qualifications

- Active Colorado electrical apprentice registration required
- 4+ years of electrical experience, primarily commercial and/or industrial
- Tenant improvement and commercial new construction experience required
- Data center experience preferred
- Working knowledge of the NEC and jobsite safety practices; OSHA 10 preferred
- Ability to read plans and complete assigned work with minimal direction
- Valid driver’s license required
- Own hand tools appropriate for commercial work
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders and lifts, and work at heights and in varying weather
- Dependable, accountable, and willing to travel when needed
