We combine clinical-grade whole genome sequencing, advanced AI methods for genome interpretation, and seamless digital tools for doctors and patients to order and access results. Our team is composed of seasoned entrepreneurs, scientists, and operators, and we're backed by top-tier investors.
Position Overview:

What You'll Do:
- Lead clinical testing: Oversee test performance, variant interpretation, and report sign-out within your authorized scope.
- Bring assays to launch: Drive validation and clinical implementation with R&D and Bioinformatics, defining controls, acceptance criteria, and test limitations.
- Build the team: Hire, mentor, and develop laboratory staff with clear expectations and accountability.
- Advance technology: Help implement whole genome sequencing, long-read platforms, automation, and better LIMS workflows.
- Scale operations: Improve turnaround time, capacity, and cost while maintaining testing quality.
What You'll Ne ed:
- MD, DO, or PhD with relevant board certification and qualifications to direct the laboratory’s high-complexity testing.
- CA license, NY preferred
- 5 or more years in clinical molecular diagnostics, including leadership and genomic interpretation and reporting.
- A track record of taking assays from development through validation into routine clinical use.
- Deep knowledge of NGS, human genetics, variant interpretation, and laboratory quality systems.
- Strong judgment, concise communication, and the ability to lead across scientific, clinical, and operational teams.
- Commitment to consistent onsite leadership.
- Experience with long-read sequencing, laboratory scaling, automation, and New York State submissions is a plus.
Location, Compensation, and Benefits:
- Location: Hybrid, 2–3 days onsite at our Menlo Park, CA laboratory campus; Bay Area candidates preferred. Remote in the US considered for the right candidate.
- Compensation: Annual salary range of $200,000 - $240,000, commensurate with experience. This role is eligible for equity.
