Job Description:

Missions

We are looking for an experienced Datastage developer with strong expertise in Datastage, SQL and Unix.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently design, develop, and test DataStage components, ensuring alignment with acceptance criteria and software craftsmanship principles.
- Deliver across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in line with Agile practices.
- Manage production deployments and provide post ‑ production support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data pipelines.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with counterparts, stakeholders, and partners.
- Identify and address recurring production issues and propose improvement actions.
- Manage and support production batch loads.
- Perform release validations, ensuring defect ‑ free deployments.
- Prepare and maintain metrics, test results, and defect reports.

Profile

Experience: 5–7 years in Datastage development & support , preferably within the Banking domain.

Technical Skills & Expertise

- 5–7 years of experience in Datastage development & support.
- Strong hands ‑ on experience with Snowflake SQL , including complex queries and performance tuning.
- Good understanding of ETL/Data Warehouse concepts , including data validations and reconciliation.
- Strong knowledge of Unix commands and shell scripting.
- Experience with Control-M for scheduling DataStage and Unix jobs.
- Proficient in SQL , with strong analytical skills to identify data anomalies and provide resolutions.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and active participation in Agile ceremonies.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor , taking ownership of deliverables end-to-end.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with Business Analysts (BAs) on technical issues and acceptance criteria for business changes in pre-prod and prod environments.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address business and production requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Good to have: Knowledge of cloud data platforms.
