The Accounting team
Hey, I’m Rick , a finance director here in EVENTIM. Putting together live entertainment experiences, especially at the scale we do, requires a very sharp eye for detail. And our Accounting team ensures exactly that! We make sure the financial details behind the live experiences we love are accurate, complete, and in the right place. The team is responsible for a broad range of operations, one minute they are focusing on precision of the daily financial administration and month-end reporting and the next they are ensuring the completeness of payments and settlements for event organizers.
Your contribution will lay in leading a team of three talented colleagues, each bringing their own experience, strengths and way of working. Together, you will keep the day-to-day operation running smoothly while looking for opportunities to improve how things are done.
Additionally, you will work closely with the Financial Controller, Business Controller, and colleagues across the business. You will report to the Finance Director.
What will you do?
You will combine leading the team and staying hands-on with the financial administration:
- Lead and support the team. You will set priorities, divide responsibilities, monitor progress, and help colleagues develop through coaching and feedback.
- Attend to the details. You will take an active hands-on role in the daily administration, helping the team resolve complex questions, discrepancies, and exceptions.
- Keep our financial administration on track. You will oversee the completeness, accuracy and timely processing of financial records across four administrations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank entries, and the general ledger.
- Own the close. Organise the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, prepare schedules, review reconciliations, and follow up on outstanding items.
- Make sure organizers are paid accurately and timely. Oversee promoter settlements and weekly payouts, ensuring that balances are reconciled and the right checks and authorisations are in place.
- Optimize the ways of working. Identify bottlenecks, strengthen controls and look for practical ways to make processes clearer, more efficient and less manual.
- Get the most out of our systems. Help improve workflows in Business Central and play an active role in developing and implementing our promoter settlement software.
- Connect the dots. You will work with colleagues across Finance, IT, Customer Service and Account Management, as well as external partners such as auditors and system suppliers.
You will have the opportunity to make an impact both on the team’s daily work and on how our accounting processes develop in the future.
