About this role

Description

The automotive industry is in the middle of a major shift. Vehicles are becoming software-defined, driver-assistance systems are advancing rapidly, and the push toward full autonomy is picking up speed. Do you want to be at the center of this change, working with the world's largest OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and the most promising startups in mobility?

We are looking for a Technology Business Development leader to join our AWS EMEA Automotive and Manufacturing team. You will find and develop strategic opportunities across the automotive ecosystem, bringing cloud-enabled solutions to market for software defined vehicles, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and autonomous driving. You will use deep industry knowledge and technical fluency to engage CxO and VP-level stakeholders at global automotive enterprises, build multi-million dollar pipeline, and help customers adopt AWS services faster across the value chain, from product design through manufacturing, distribution, and dealer management.

Key job responsibilities
- Define and execute a go-to-market strategy for automotive and mobility customers, aligning with AWS priorities and partnering with account teams, solution architects, service teams, marketing, and partners.
- Find, evaluate, and grow strategic relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, independent software vendors (ISVs), startups, and system integrators to build pipeline and close deals that drive measurable revenue growth.
- Own the AWS point of view on software defined vehicles, ADAS, and autonomous driving, turning customer needs into product feedback that shapes our service roadmap.
- Lead complex deal negotiations alongside account teams, develop business cases for senior leadership, and own reporting on forecasts, pipeline health, and progress against business plans.
- Contribute to strategic planning documents and initiatives that drive long-term growth in the automotive sector, while sharing expertise and best practices across the team.

A day in the life
You will spend much of your day engaging directly with automotive customers and partners, reviewing account plans, analyzing pipeline, and co-creating go-to-market plans with account teams and solution architects. Between customer conversations, you will prepare business reviews for senior leadership, surface technology or resource constraints, and collaborate with product teams to turn customer requirements into solution direction. You will also carve out time to develop your own strategic initiatives and stay current on emerging automotive trends and AWS capabilities.

About the team
Our AWS EMEA Automotive and Manufacturing Business Development team works directly with the world's leading automotive companies and a growing startup ecosystem to help them rethink mobility through cloud technology. The team brings together business development and industry solution architecture skills, partnering closely on target accounts (typically global enterprises) while building relationships with ISVs, startups, and system integrators. This is a compelling time to join: as the industry moves toward autonomous and software-defined vehicles, our team is growing its investment in the solutions and partnerships that will define the next chapter of automotive progress.

Basic Qualifications

- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience selling enterprise software or cloud-based applications
- Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences
- Experience leading complex, multi-year initiatives that may be cross-functional and/or span business and technology
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in the automotive, ADAS, or autonomous driving industry
- Experience engaging C-suite or VP-level stakeholders at enterprise accounts
- Experience working with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or automotive ISVs and startups
