Job Description:

Polar Speed UPS, Unit 1 Glasgow Trade Park, Springhill Parkway, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, G69 6GA

Monday - Friday - 40 to 48 hours per week

£12.82 per hour weekdays, overtime on weekends and bank holidays (optional) £19.23 per hour

£31,998 p/a based on 48 hours per week

Job Purpose and Key Responibilities:

Managing and scanning of packages and pallets to your delivery vehicle

Managing the safe and secure loading of all consignments

Conduting daily diligence on vehicle safety checks and refrigeration unit

Ensure the vehicle is always at the correct temperature

Delivering and collection of pharmacuetical consignments to GP Surgeries, Retail Pharmacies, Hospitals, Wholesalers and Home Delivery Patients

Managing the returns process of all consignments

Maintain the cleanliness of the company vehicle including cab and and chilled and ambient chambers

Maintain the cleanliness of company uniform, esuring correct PPE is worn at all times

Specialised Knowledge and Requirements:

Minimum category B Drivers Licence with ideally no more than 3 points

Minimum 2 years driving experience, including motorway driving

Experience in multi drop deliveries with customer contact

Previous temperature controlled home and/or hopsital delivery experience desired but not essential as full training will be given

Good communication skills

Team player mentality with the ability to work on own initiative

Appreciate the need for retaining confidentiality

Build effective working relationships with customers/clients, collegues and other departments across the network
