At Verizon, we power and empower how people live, work and play by connecting them to what brings them joy. We do what we love — driving innovation, creativity, and impact in the world. Our V Team is a community of people who anticipate, lead, and believe that listening is where learning begins. As the Senior Director of Business Sales, you will be the driving force behind our success in your territory. We aren’t just looking for someone to manage a pipeline—we need a strategic leader who can build high-performing teams, close high-stakes deals, and grow our market share.

What you’ll be doing:

- Leading Performance & Operations: You’ll guide your Business team to not just meet, but exceed sales goals. This means setting clear objectives for your channels, defining how we measure success across all key areas, and initiating performance planning. You'll dive into the data—analyzing sales results, monitoring productivity, forecasting, and setting quotas. By evaluating market conditions, sales reporting, territories, and market share, you'll spot new opportunities to increase revenue, drive growth, and manage customer churn.
- Cultivating Culture & Communication: You will instill our core values and build a deep sense of personal and team commitment throughout the entire organization. Maintaining consistent, clear communication on our key objectives will be vital to keeping everyone aligned.
- Closing Deals & Retaining Customers: You’ll be front-and-center at high-level sales meetings with both potential and existing key accounts to build strong working relationships and promote the quality of Verizon. You will lead the contract negotiation process for key accounts regarding pricing and concessions, and seamlessly facilitate final contract approvals across departments.
- Driving Cross-Functional Improvements: You will collaborate closely with other departments across the company to analyze any issues impacting the Business channel, so you can recommend, develop, and implement smart process improvements.
- Building a Powerhouse Team: Your team’s success is your success. You will interview and hire a top-tier management team, oversee the professional development of the entire organization, and actively coach, motivate, and train the team to achieve high-performance results.

What we’re looking for…

- Education: A Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience (a Master’s degree is preferred).
- Experience: 8+ years of experience leading large, diverse sales teams and channels. Technology and/or wireless telecommunications B2B sales and strategy experience is strongly desired.
- Core Skills: Superior organizational, interpersonal, communication, negotiation, staff development, presentation, and operations skills.
- Leadership Presence: The ability to confidently present to and interact with all levels of management.
- Work Style: The ability to work exceptionally well both independently and in a collaborative team environment. You must be highly self-motivated with a proven ability to motivate others.
- Agility: You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer- and team-oriented environment. You can manage multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting tight deadlines.
