Job Purpose:
Demonstrates knowledge and skill in caring for the patient with the understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity. Provides nursing care, utilizing the nursing process, for all day care patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- To assist the Ward Staff Nurse in care of patient which includes sponge bath, mouth care, back care, combing, feeding, dressing, giving water to the patient and help the ambulatory patient.
- Shifting of patient from one ward to another ward.
- Handling of wheelchairs and stretchers
- Dispatching the samples and collection of reports
- Collection and returning of medicine from and to stores
- Taking of patients to X-ray, MRI, CT.
- Collection and dispatching of all dressing sets in CSSD.
- Cleaning and Filling of all water jugs in the ward.
- Leaving of the patient near the gate of hospital after discharge.
- In case of Emergency they are suppose to help housekeeping on the requirement.
