Industrial Painter / Material Handler
Location: York, PA

Shift: 2nd Shift
Pay Rate: Up to $23.00/hour, depending on experience, plus $3.00/hour shift differential
Position Summary
We are seeking a versatile Industrial Painter / Material Handler to assist with painting and general production operations in a manufacturing environment.
Painting accounts for approximately 20% of this position, with the remaining responsibilities involving material handling, overhead crane operation, rigging, and other shop support activities. The ideal candidate is adaptable, safety-conscious, and comfortable performing a variety of hands-on tasks to keep production running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform industrial painting tasks, which make up approximately 20% of the position.
- Operate overhead cranes to move steel materials and support production.
- Load, unload, and position materials safely.
- Perform rigging tasks using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Use a tape measure to verify dimensions and material requirements.
- Assist with material handling and other shop duties as needed.
- Complete respiratory fit testing and follow required safety procedures.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Provide support to different departments to help maintain production flow.
Qualifications
- Previous industrial or shop painting experience.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
- Experience with rigging and loading/unloading materials.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
- Ability to pass a respiratory fit test.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices and proper PPE use.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing production needs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
