**Sign-on Bonus $5,000**
Annual Salary: $54,000
Shift Differential: $2.50/hr. for evening, overnight, and weekend hours
Overnight Shift: 11 pm to 7:30 am with rotating weekends

The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) is hiring a dependable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the overnight team at the BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center in Hampton.
Our BJ Roberts facility provides care and support for adults facing acute behavioral health and substance use needs. As an overnight LPN, you will play an important role in maintaining patient safety, administering medications, assessing health needs, and helping individuals receive consistent, quality care throughout the night.
Required qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited LPN nursing program
- One year of medication administration experience in substance abuse treatment, psychiatric care, or long-term care (including dispensing narcotic medication)
What You'll Do
- Administer medications and provide direct nursing services to adults in behavioral health and substance use treatment, including controlled medications and methadone as applicable.
- Conduct nursing assessments, patient intakes, follow-up evaluations, and other clinical interviews to identify and address individual care needs.
- Oversee medication handling procedures, including ordering, inventory, secure storage, medication counts, and required records.
- Coordinate with medical providers, psychiatrists, and other treatment professionals regarding patient needs, changes in condition, and appropriate care.
- Document nursing services and clinical observations while helping maintain a structured, safe, and supportive treatment setting.
