About this role

RDI Trials runs clinical studies for diagnostic companies. We bring together physicians, patients, laboratory testing, and clinical data to establish whether diagnostic tests work.

We are hiring someone to build relationships with three groups: companies that could become clients, physicians who could participate in our studies, and people who could join our team.

You will work directly with the CEO, learn how the business operates, and turn that understanding into content, outreach, and qualified conversations. You will own the work from identifying someone worth contacting through establishing interest and arranging the next step.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Find and engage the right people

• Research prospective clients, physician practices, hospitals, and candidates.

• Write and conduct targeted outreach through email, LinkedIn, phone calls, introductions, and events.

• Follow up consistently, learn why people respond or decline, and adjust the approach.

• Build relationships with universities, professional groups, and referral sources.

Make RDI’s work visible

• Spend time with our team and in our laboratory to understand what we do.

• Turn interviews, project experience, and everyday work into clear posts, videos, case studies, emails, and website content.

• Adapt the message to each audience: why a company would hire RDI, a physician would participate, or a candidate would join.

• Coordinate outside creative support when needed while remaining responsible for getting the work published and distributed.

Qualify interest and move conversations forward

• Understand a prospective client’s needs before arranging a discussion with the CEO.

• Establish a physician’s interest and basic practice fit before involving our site startup team.

• Conduct initial candidate conversations to assess motivation, communication, relevant experience, and willingness to work onsite.

• Learn our selection standards by reviewing candidates and outreach responses with the CEO and COO.

• Keep accurate records in our systems so every promising relationship has an owner and a next step.

Connect conferences to relationships

• Identify people to meet, arrange conversations before events, and manage follow-up afterward.

• Coordinate supporting materials and logistics with our team and vendors.

HOW THE ROLE WORKS

This is a full-time, dedicated external outreach and marketing role reporting to the CEO. Study teams own protocol execution, detailed site qualification, contracts, regulatory documents, and activation. You will learn enough about those activities to represent RDI accurately and make useful introductions.

The role is onsite in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, because understanding our people, laboratory, and work is central to communicating it well. There are no direct reports initially; you will build and execute the function yourself.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

A growing flow of qualified client discussions, interested physician partners, and suitable candidates. Content and outreach should contribute to those outcomes, with clear tracking of which approaches work.

HOW TO APPLY

Submit your résumé and two examples of work you personally created or led. For each, explain whom you were trying to reach, what you did, and what happened. Examples may include an outreach campaign, written content, a partnership, or a recruiting initiative.

Requirements

You have evidence that you can attract someone’s attention, earn a response, and turn an initial conversation into a useful relationship.

Your background could include marketing, business development, partnerships, community building, recruiting, or agency work. Clinical research experience is helpful but is not required. You must be willing to learn a technical business.

You should be able to:

• Write clear, specific messages for different audiences.

• Pick up the phone and initiate conversations.

• Research people and organizations beyond assembling a contact list.

• Stay organized across multiple campaigns and follow through without repeated reminders.

• Use CRM systems, content tools, and AI effectively while checking accuracy.

• Accept direct feedback and improve your work.

• Show examples of results you personally helped produce.

• Work full time onsite in Van Nuys, Los Angeles.
