Position Overview
We are looking for a QA Test Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong understanding of Mentor Functional Safety solutions and the underlying technologies.
- Write, maintain, and execute product test plans and quality plans.
- Design and execute test cases and summarize testing results and status.
- Participate in various types of product testing throughout the release lifecycle, including integration testing, regression testing, license testing, installation testing, and GUI testing.
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks to eliminate repetitive manual testing and reduce testing turnaround time.
- Understand customers' use cases and assist with integrating customer designs into test environments.
- Perform product benchmarking and performance measurements across iterations to capture and compare tool performance data between releases.
- Report, validate, and triage defects to identify root causes and assess their severity and impact for R&D teams.
- Utilize code coverage techniques and tools to quantitatively assess product test coverage.
- Support the deployment and monitoring of other qualification techniques, such as static code analysis (Lint), dynamic code analysis, and memory leak detection.
Job Requirements:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Graduation grade of Excellent or Very Good with Honors.
- Excellent knowledge of digital design and RTL fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of hardware description languages (HDLs), such as Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
- Knowledge of UVM is an advantage.
- Knowledge of assertion specification languages, such as PSL, SVA, or OVL, is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of scripting languages, such as Shell, Perl, Python, and Qt.
- Knowledge of quality assurance concepts and software testing.
- Knowledge of testing strategies, test planning, and test automation tools.
- Knowledge of defect tracking systems, configuration management, and code profiling tools.
- Excellent communication skills, a self-motivated attitude, and a strong willingness to learn and continuously develop.

Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is USD 17,700 to USD 35,400 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
