Dental office at Dufferin and Queen is looking for a Dental Assistant either full-time or part-time.
POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experienced Dental Assistant, minimum of 2 years experience in a Canadian office
- Must be HARP certified
- Experience with digital radiographs
- Must have excellent communication skills and be fluent in english
- Loves interacting with people and positive, upbeat personality
- Organized, dependable, and stays calm when things get busy
- Takes pride in creating a comfortable, positive experience for every patient.
- Works well as part of a team while also being confident working independently
LOCATION: Dufferin/King
HOURS:
- Full-time, Part-Time may be available
- Hours are to be finalized
- Clinic is open 10-7 weekdays & 9-3 Sat
COMPENSATION: $25-$35 depending on experience and performance
JOB OVERVIEW:
- Assisting dentist during dental procedures that features handing instruments and other materials
- Assisting dentist with restorations, root canals, crowns, bridges, veneers, implants, invisalign, fillings, extractions and mouth guards
- Placement and removal of rubber dams
- Taking x-rays of patients' teeth and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
- Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
- Taking preliminary impressions
- Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
- Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist's reference
- Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene and plaque control programs
- Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
