About this role

Experience: 8-10 Years in Government Accounts, Defense, Institutional Sales, or Government Tender Business
Key Responsibilities: • Manage and develop key Government and Defense accounts across assigned territories. • Develop strong relationships with government departments, defense establishments, hospitals, procurement teams, and key decision-makers. • Identify and track government tenders, GeM opportunities, rate contracts, and institutional procurement requirements. • Manage the complete tender process, including opportunity identification, documentation, submission, and follow-up. • Develop account plans and strategies to achieve assigned sales and business targets. • Coordinate with internal teams including Sales, Regulatory, Finance, Supply Chain, and Legal for successful order execution. • Monitor government procurement policies, tender requirements, market trends, and competitor activities. • Drive product registrations, empanelment's, approvals, and inclusion of products in relevant government/defense procurement channels. • Maintain regular follow-ups with key accounts to ensure timely order processing, supplies, payments, and issue resolution. • Maintain accurate records of government accounts, tenders, opportunities, orders, contracts, and customer interactions.
Qualifications and Skills: • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or a related field. MBA will be an added advantage. • Strong experience in handling Government and Defense accounts and procurement processes. • Good understanding of GeM, government tenders, rate contracts, e-procurement, and institutional sales. • Proven track record of achieving sales targets through government and institutional business. • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. • Ability to manage multiple government accounts and long sales cycles independently. • Willingness to travel extensively as required. • Strong knowledge of the healthcare/medical device industry and government healthcare procurement will be an added advantage.
