JOB
DUTIES

· Responsible for handling
materials, including loading them in accordance with established safety protocols, taking into
consideration the weight and tonnage of vehicle
· Follow all safety
precautions in the operation of his vehicle.
· Ensure that all traffic
regulations are complied with.
· Wear the necessary safety
gear when loading and offloading trucks, and while on construction site and
also ensure that the assigned porter complies with these safety operations.
· Deliver all goods
promptly and ensure that all relevant documents are signed upon delivery of
goods.
· The driver becomes the
supervisor when the truck is on the road, he is in command and is solely
responsible for his attendant/porter, and must ensure that the attendant
carries out his duties in an efficient and professional manner.
· Comply with the daily
check list, and ensure that the vehicles are clean and in good mechanical order
before leaving the yard at mornings.
· Immediately report any
accidents or difficulties they might be encountering while on the road.

Work Environment
· While performing the duties of
this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach
climb and move about the entire facility.
· Candidates should be able to adapt
to a traditional warehouse & Lumber Yard environment.
· Work outdoors most of the time while loading and
unloading trucks
· Must be able to life and move
loads of varying weights
· Frequent exposure to Lumber Yard
elements such as noise, dust, fumes, odors.
· Safety glasses or ventilation mask
may be required while performing a specific task.

### Requirements
· Must possess the license
required to operate and drive the assigned vehicle.
· Must have at least one
year experience in driving that type of vehicle.
· Must be polite and
provide customers with good customer service when making deliveries.
· All drivers must be
knowledgeable about products and must be able to read and understand documents
given to them.
· Driver should have full
knowledge and operation of his vehicle, including basic mechanics of his
vehicle.
