Description
Long-Lewis of Hoover is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Recon Wash Tech to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in preparing pre-owned vehicles for resale by thoroughly cleaning, detailing, and ensuring every vehicle is lot-ready and presented to Long-Lewis standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, clean, and detail the interior and exterior of pre-owned vehicles to dealership standards.
- Prepare vehicles for display by ensuring they are clean, polished, and ready for the sales lot.
- Perform vehicle inspections to identify cosmetic concerns or damage that should be addressed before sale.
- Assist with light reconditioning tasks and general vehicle preparation as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work when required.
- Work closely with the sales, service, and reconditioning teams to ensure timely vehicle turnaround.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding vehicle status, priorities, and any concerns.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous automotive detailing or vehicle washing experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Must have a good eye for detail and take pride in delivering quality results.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be willing to work weekends as business needs require.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent time management skills.
