Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of Medicare billing for home health and hospice services in compliance with CMS guidelines.
- Review, research, and resolve billing denials and rejections promptly to ensure timely payment.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to verify patient information and service documentation.
- Prepare and submit accurate claims through electronic billing systems.
- Maintain detailed records of billing activities and denial resolutions.
- Stay current with Medicare policies and updates affecting billing and reimbursement.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medicare biller and denial specialist within home health and hospice care.
- In-depth knowledge of Medicare billing regulations and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve denials efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating across departments and with payers.
- Ability to work on-site in Livonia, MI; remote candidates will not be considered.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) and billing software is preferred.
