We invite applications from suitably qualified individuals for the post of Practice Manager- Databricks. The selected candidate will report to the Practice Manager.

The Practice Manager- Databricks will be responsible for:

- Leading JKIT’s Databricks practice by defining the roadmap, delivery standards, operating model, and reusable accelerators.

- Providing architecture and technical leadership across Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL, Workflows, MLflow, and data governance.

- Leading customer discovery, assessments, migration workshops, solution presentations, and executive discussions.

- Designing data platforms using Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and related services.

- Leading migrations from legacy data warehouses, SQL, Synapse, Hadoop, and other platforms to Databricks Lakehouse.

- Leading multidisciplinary teams and driving best practices in SQL, Python, PySpark, ETL/ELT, CI/CD, DataOps, security, performance, and FinOps.

- Supporting presales activities, including proposals, RFPs, estimations, solution sizing, architecture, demos, POCs, and presentations.

- Building capability through mentoring, certification plans, knowledge sharing, playbooks, and documentation.

- Collaborating with Databricks, Microsoft, internal teams, and customers on migration, analytics, AI, GenAI, and managed services opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.

- 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of experience delivering Databricks solutions.

- Strong knowledge of Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, SQL, Workflows, Jobs, Clusters, Repos, and administration.

- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Data Lake Storage, and Power BI.

- Advanced skills in SQL, Python, PySpark, ETL/ELT, data modelling, governance, security, CI/CD, and Azure DevOps.

- Databricks Delivery Expert or Project Expert certification is mandatory; Databricks Champion is an added advantage.

- Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and commercial skills.

- Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
