About this role
We are looking for a Commercial Contract Manager to provide
commercial leadership and support across a portfolio of contracts, bids and
business opportunities, ensuring contractual commitments are effectively
managed throughout the contract lifecycle. The role is responsible for
protecting and enhancing business value through proactive contract management,
risk management, commercial governance and stakeholder engagement.
The Commercial Contract Manager works closely with delivery, sales,
legal, procurement and finance teams to support business growth, manage
contractual obligations and ensure successful operational outcomes. The role
may operate independently on smaller accounts and opportunities or support
Senior and Principal Commercial Managers on larger, more complex engagements.
This is a hybrid variable role requiring some office presence in Leeds
/ London plus possibly attending customer sites as required.
What you will be doing:
- Commercial and Contract Management - Manage a portfolio of customer and supplier contracts, ensuring contractual obligations, rights and risks are understood and appropriately managed
- Bid and Business Growth Support - Act as the commercial lead for bids, proposals and new business opportunities for less complex deals within delegated authority levels. Review, draft and negotiate contractual terms and conditions, working collaboratively with legal and operational stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management - Build effective working relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders. Work closely with finance, legal, procurement, information security, data protection and delivery functions to manage commercial and contractual matters.
- Supplier and Third-Party Management - Support procurement and the business with the commercial management of suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring contractual arrangements support business and customer requirements.
- Governance, Risk and Compliance - Identify, assess and manage commercial, contractual and operational risks throughout the bid, contract and delivery lifecycle.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in commercial, contract
management, procurement or a related business discipline.
- Experience managing customer and/or supplier
contracts through the contract lifecycle.
- Experience supporting bids, tenders and
procurement opportunities.
- Understanding of contract drafting, review
and negotiation processes.
- Ability to identify, assess and manage
commercial risks and opportunities.
- Ability to interpret contractual terms and
communicate practical implications to stakeholders.
- Experience working within governance and
approval frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving
capabilities.

Salary: Up to £65k depending on experience
