Southern Health Partners is seeking a dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) to join our healthcare team at the Tuscaloosa County Jail .
This is an opportunity to use your clinical skills in a structured correctional healthcare environment while providing meaningful care to an underserved population.
🩺 What You'll Do
- Provide compassionate patient care within the correctional healthcare setting
- Assist with patient assessments and monitor patient conditions
- Administer medications and treatments within your scope of practice
- Respond appropriately to patient medical needs and changes in condition
- Obtain vital signs and perform clinical tasks as directed
- Assist healthcare providers with patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and correctional staff
- Follow established clinical standards, policies, and procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
📋 Qualifications
For LPN Candidates:
- Current, unrestricted LPN license in the State of Alabama
- Current CPR certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
For CCMA Candidates:
- Current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification
- Current CPR certification
- Clinical experience preferred
For All Candidates:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a healthcare team
- Previous healthcare experience preferred
- Correctional healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
🌙 Your Schedule
7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule
You'll have the consistency of a defined rotation while working as part of a dedicated healthcare team.
