Southern Health Partners is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at the Tuscaloosa County Jail .

🩺 What You'll Do
- Provide compassionate nursing care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting
- Perform nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Respond appropriately to medical concerns and changes in patient condition
- Communicate with providers and other members of the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Provide patient education and promote continuity of care
- Follow established clinical standards, policies, and procedures
- Work collaboratively with healthcare and correctional staff
Qualifications
📋 Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted LPN license in the State of Alabama
- Current CPR certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a healthcare team
- Previous nursing experience preferred
- Correctional healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
📅 Your Schedule
2 Twelve-Hour Day Shifts Per Week
With more than 20 hours per week, this position offers the enhanced benefits package available to eligible part-time employees working 20+ hours.
