Procurement Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support purchasing and supply chain activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for sourcing materials, managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring materials are available to meet production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and purchase raw materials, components, equipment, and supplies.

- Create, issue, and track purchase orders.

- Obtain and compare vendor quotes based on price, quality, and lead time.

- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and purchasing terms.

- Monitor open orders and follow up on shortages or delivery delays.

- Maintain strong supplier relationships and identify new vendors when needed.

- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and Operations.

- Assist with inventory planning and preventing material shortages.

- Resolve incorrect shipments, pricing discrepancies, and supplier issues.

- Identify cost-saving and procurement improvement opportunities.

- Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of procurement, purchasing, buyer, or supply chain experience.

- Manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial experience strongly preferred.

- Experience with purchase orders, vendor negotiations, and supplier management.

- Knowledge of ERP/MRP or purchasing systems preferred.

- Strong Excel, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
