About the Role:
The Lifeguard Specialist position supports the recruitment, training, certification, and ongoing coverage of aquatics staff.
This position provides additional capacity to conduct swim tests, teach lifeguard certification courses, assist with in-service training, and support daily lifeguard coverage and facility operations. The role will strengthen staff preparedness, maintain required safety standards, and help ensure consistent and reliable aquatics operations.
Qualifications :
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be responsible and reliable.
- Must obtain CPR Instructor certification within first 3 months.
- Lifeguard certification required.
- Must obtain Lifeguard Instructor certification within first 3 months.
- Swim Instructor certification preferred.
Work Schedule and Pay :
$15/hour for up to 25 hours per week (paid bi-weekly). University holidays and closures are observed.
