Reports to: Sr. Sewing Supervisor
Supervises: N/A
Summary Statement: Under the general supervision of the Sr. Sewing Supervisor, the person in this position packages various products following all established work and safety procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Build boxes for product to be packaged.
- Prepare product for packaging as required for the product being packaged.
- Package product in boxes, assuring correct bundles are packaged.
- Label and seal boxes full boxes.
- Stage boxes on pallets.
Marginal Job Functions
- Assist other personnel as time and knowledge permit.
- Participate in training and meetings as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Working Conditions
- Must be able to stand over a 10-hours period.
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to work both planned and unplanned overtime.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Must be able to work professionally as part of a team with other department employees.
- Must be able to comprehend and perform duties using established work and safety procedures.
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Must perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workloads.
Education and Work Experience
- On-the-job training will be provided.
