About this role

Specific Responsibilities:

- Generate revenue from company products and services to meet or exceed individual and department goals.

- Sell and service assigned accounts while developing new business opportunities.

- Prospect for new business through outbound calls, email, social media, referrals, and other sales activities.

- Generate revenue through print advertising, digital advertising, preprints, special sections, promotions, and other company products.

- Assist outside Account Executives and other team members in servicing customers.

- Prepare customer proposals, presentations, and advertising recommendations.

- Review and approve customer proofs while ensuring compliance with established deadlines.

- Maintain accurate customer account information and activity records within company systems.

- Complete required CRM entries and sales activity reporting.

- Ensure advertising is published in accordance with company policies, contracts, rates, and applicable regulations.

- Follow established credit and collection policies.

- Assist with the development and coordination of special sections, promotions, and other revenue-generating initiatives.

- Serve as the primary receptionist for the GILSN and WP&MS offices, including answering and directing calls, greeting visitors, distributing mail and deliveries, and providing general administrative support.

- Maintain a high level of internal and external customer service.

- Participate in the Great Game of Business and support company initiatives.

- Adhere to all company safety standards, including general workplace safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance requirements.

- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Two years of business, sales, customer service, or related experience preferred.

- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.

- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software applications.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Valid driver's license and adhere to company driving eligibility requirements, including proof of auto insurance.

- Demonstrated alignment with company core values and ESOP culture.

Physical Requirements:

- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working at a computer.

- Frequent use of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically.

- Ability to occasionally move, lift, or carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

- Occasional travel between company locations as needed.
