Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid in office 3-4 days per week)
Position Description
Interprets and summarizes real property rights that allow our clients to operate, maintain and access its facilities. This involves the review and interpretation of legal documents such as easement agreements, grant deeds, shared use, and occupancy agreements, franchise agreements, as well as the analysis of requests from public stakeholders to encroach upon our client’s right-of-way or to verify that the quitclaim of a vacated easement is feasible. There will also be analysis of prescriptive land rights and the application of regulatory laws such as Public Utilities Code Section 851. This position will also involve the review of maps, legal descriptions, surveys, construction plans, work orders or other documentation that delineates the present or proposed location of our client’s right-of-way and facilities. This position will work closely with internal departments such as Design and Project Management, Corrective Maintenance, Engineering, Transmission Construction and Maintenance, Public Relations, and Legal.

Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, Geography, Planning, Public Administration, Surveying, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in one or more of the following:
Title research
- Records research
- Land administration
- Right-of-way services
- Real estate
- Utility land services
- Surveying
- Civil planning
Demonstrated ability to accurately review and interpret:
- Maps
- Surveys
- Legal descriptions
- Deeds
- Title reports
- Experience conducting research using public record databases and property information systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
