Advanced Electrical Engineer

Special Test Equipment | Space Systems

Scottsdale, AZ

Pay Estimated: $66.33 - $71.33/Hour

We are hiring an Advanced Electrical Engineer to support a Special Test Equipment (STE) Team responsible for Space Systems programs. This role focuses on electrical engineering design, mixed-signal circuit analysis, electrical CAD, circuit card troubleshooting, electronics design, component selection, prototyping, testing, and research and development for advanced space systems applications.

We are seeking an electrical engineer with hands-on experience taking electronics from concept and modeling through design, prototype development, troubleshooting, and test. This role supports a cross-functional engineering environment focused on developing and improving special test equipment, electronic assemblies, and electrical design architectures.

Responsibilities:

- Support the design and development of Special Test Equipment (STE) for Space Systems applications.

- Develop and analyze electrical and mixed-signal circuit designs using electrical engineering CAD tools.

- Perform circuit analysis, electronics design, component selection, and design architecture development.

- Read and interpret circuit card schematics to support design, test, and troubleshooting activities.

- Troubleshoot electrical circuits, circuit cards, assemblies, and test equipment.

- Support research and development activities from concept and modeling through prototyping and testing.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve electronic design architectures, assemblies, and components.

- Work across engineering disciplines to support electrical design, development, integration, and test activities.

Qualifications:

- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field.

- 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master’s degree plus 3+ years of job-related experience.

- Proficiency with electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools.

- Experience with mixed-signal circuit analysis and design.

- Experience testing and troubleshooting electrical or electronic systems.

- Ability to read and interpret circuit card schematics.

- Experience with electronics design, design architectures, assemblies, and component selection.

- Research and development experience involving concept development, design, modeling, prototyping, and testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience identifying and applying emerging electrical or electronics technologies.

- Experience developing innovative electronic design architectures, assemblies, or component solutions.
