About this role
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, storing, preparing, and shipping materials and products. This position ensures that incoming and outgoing shipments are processed correctly and on time while maintaining accurate inventory records and a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand purchase orders, packing slips, shipping documents, and product labels.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use inventory, warehouse, or shipping software.
- Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately count, verify, and document inventory.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift certification preferred or willingness to become certified.
- Experience with UPS, FedEx, or other shipping systems is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, push, and pull throughout the workday.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment where temperatures and noise levels may vary.
