About this role

Work Term: January - April 2027
 
As a Financial Analyst Intern, you will be supporting the accounting processes for PC Bank and PC Insurance payroll, expense reports and intercompany transactions as well as the month end processes for PC insurance entities.  This includes the booking of journal entries, performing monthly reconciliations and processing payroll vendor payments on time and accurately. To fulfill these tasks, the role would require active coordination with  Payroll, Treasury , other finance teams and vendors as required

The Core Responsibilities of the Job

- Competitive intelligence, including market scans, competitor tracking, and synthesis of key insights to inform portfolio priorities.

- Joint Steering Committee/Governance and action management, including tracking follow-ups, preparing action logs, and supporting meeting readiness.

- Invoice management, including coordination, tracking, reconciliation support, and escalation of outstanding items.

- Dashboard and reporting support, including data gathering, report maintenance, and preparation of recurring performance updates.

- Strategic projects and research support, including analysis, summary development, and coordination activities for priority initiatives.

- Marketing support, including mass production of enterprise assets for LCL ISA execution, CRM roadmap QA for customer lifecycle journey programs, and QA support for paid media, retail execution, and CRM campaign initiatives.

- Digital support, including learning and applying Meta tagging practices to support SEO efforts across digital properties.

Let's Talk About You!

- Enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, or another relevant stream

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

- Familiarity with how to complete market research and a competitive analysis

- Foundational knowledge of Tableau is an asset

- Business casing and ability to conduct data analysis or interpret data is an asset

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills

- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment

- Willingness to participate in meetings, ask questions, using critical thinking

- Self-motivated team player with an eagerness to learn and take initiative

- Previous internship or co-op experience is an asset

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from EQ Bank’s additional office space located at 2200-25 Ontario Street, Toronto, ON.
