About this role

Job Responsibilities:

- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards

- Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair

- Complete MPI Inspection report and send findings to the service advisor

- Executes the service SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) at all times.

- Utilizes AutoPoint and keeps all repair orders up to date and strives to maintain at least two recommendations per vehicle.

- Utilize AutoPoint to communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts

- Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.

- Notify the service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required

- Notify the service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised

- Document work performed

- Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician

- Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins

- Ensure that customer vehicles are kept clean

- Keep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times

- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes

- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information

- 18 years of age or older.

- Diesel Engine repair training or equivalent experience.

- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds with or without assistance.

- Follow safety policies and procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment necessary for the job in a safe manner.

- ASE certification is preferred

- Automotive Technician Experience Required

- Proven Fixed Right Survey Scores
