Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and assign daily work to field crews.
- Lead safety briefings and enforce PPE, FRA, DOT, and company safety standards.
- Oversee project execution, including hands-on field work and heavy equipment operation.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and regulatory agencies.
- Submit accurate payroll, equipment usage, and project reports.
- Train, coach, and evaluate team members.
- Prepare job quotes, including labor, equipment, and logistics.
- Monitor equipment readiness and ensure equipment is properly maintained and available for field operations.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to established standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of railroad industry experience.
- Knowledge of DOT, FRA, and applicable safety regulations .
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting systems .
- Valid driver's license; CDL Class A or B preferred .
- Experience operating heavy equipment, including cranes, excavators, or similar equipment .
- Ability to read and understand load charts and rigging practices .
- Ability to lead field crews in demanding and time-sensitive work environments.
- Strong organizational and reporting skills.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions .
- Frequent travel with overnight stays required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, walking on uneven terrain, and working extended hours.
- Ability to work in active railroad and field environments.
