About this role
About the Role
This is the first engineering hire at a Y Combinator-backed AI marketing startup, working directly alongside the two founders. You will own full product features from ambiguous problem all the way to live, customer-facing product, and your work will span product thinking, frontend, backend, LLM pipelines, data, and direct customer conversations. It is a true founding-scope role with immediate, meaningful impact.
What You'll Do
- Own product features end to end: figure out what to build, ship it, and keep iterating until it creates real customer value.
- Work closely with the founders and customers to turn conversations into concrete product improvements.
- Build and maintain production full-stack features across frontend, backend, and data layers.
- Design simple, intuitive UX for complex workflows.
- Develop and improve LLM pipelines and agentic workflows within the product.
What We're Looking For
- Approximately 2 to 4 years of relevant engineering experience, with a strong track record appropriate for a first engineering hire.
- Demonstrated early-stage startup or founding experience; big-company-only backgrounds are not a fit.
- Has shipped products from 0 to 1 before and can independently deliver production-quality code.
- Proficient with TypeScript and React; familiarity with Vite, Supabase, Vercel, or ClickHouse is a plus.
- Comfortable working with LLMs and agentic workflows, both in the product and in day-to-day development (e.g., coding agents, MCP, or similar AI-leveraged tools).
- Able to own full-stack product work from an ambiguous brief through to a live feature.
- Communicates clearly and confidently with customers in English.
- Experience in GEO, SEO, or marketing technology is a bonus.
- Based in Munich or able to relocate readily.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of EUR 85,000 to EUR 120,000 annually, plus equity participation (VSOP). Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site in Munich, Germany . Candidates willing to relocate are welcome to apply.
