Southern Health Partners is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Medical Team Administrator (MTA) at the Cabarrus County Jail in North Carolina.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced RN who enjoys structure, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while helping oversee the delivery of quality correctional healthcare.
The primary schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM . From time to time, the MTA may be asked to provide occasional night or weekend coverage when there are call-outs or additional shift coverage needs.
✨ What Youll Do
As the Medical Team Administrator, you will help oversee the day-to-day delivery of healthcare services within the facility while providing hands-on clinical support when needed.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Overseeing and coordinating daily healthcare operations
- Providing clinical guidance and support to the nursing team
- Delivering direct patient care as needed
- Coordinating patient assessments, treatments, medications, and follow-up care
- Ensuring compliance with established clinical policies and procedures
- Maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation
- Communicating with facility leadership and the SHP healthcare team
- Supporting staff development, scheduling, and clinical performance
- Helping maintain a safe, secure, and professional healthcare environment
- Responding to staffing needs, including occasional night or weekend coverage when necessary
Qualifications
🩺 What Were Looking For
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
- Current CPR certification
- Previous nursing experience
- Leadership, supervisory, or charge nurse experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others
- Correctional healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
