About this role
The Pump Assembly Technician - HPS will assemble horizontal pump systems used in artificial lift applications. The role requires precise mechanical assembly, shaft alignment, and electrical wiring to ensure reliable operation of pump equipment. The technician will follow engineering drawings, maintain quality standards, and collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams.
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in oilfield or industrial equipment.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, torque wrenches, and alignment equipment.
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring and conduit installation.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good math skills for measurements, tolerances, and torque calculations.
- Familiarity with safety practices, including lockout/tagout and PPE usage.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime or shift rotations as production demands require.
