The Future is Autonomous. Join the Robotaxi division and drive the autonomous revolution, unlocking democratized, safe, low-cost transportation for all. Your role, positioned at the center of many critical teams at Tesla, will be critical to the successful deployment of Robotaxi.
As a Systems Engineer focused on Robotaxi performance, you will evaluate robotaxi operational data and build out automated dashboards that can drive critical program decision making. Additionally you will develop ML models that unlock new that used to make critical operational and product decisions. Building out of analytical models to better understand field data as well as creating data reporting automation pipelines will be a core components of this role.
This is marketplace economics at the scale of a global autonomous network. There is no driver to surge. The fleet is the product: energy, service, utilization, deadhead, and demand all collide in real time. You will forecast, optimize, and recommend the actions — positioning, matching, mix, incentives — that turn Cybercabs into a high-margin transportation system. - Create, Manage, and Present core performance KPIs for Robotaxi
- Uncover fleet and user trends, resulting in operational improvements and optimization
- Design, train, and deploy machine learning models to evaluate performance
- Identify where the network is leaving margin on the table
- Partner with operations, finance, network planning, and pricing so outputs
- Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or a related field, proof of exceptional skills in a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years developing and deploying machine learning and optimization models in production, with measurable business impact over multiple quarters
- Experience in system building and evaluation, data management and trend projections
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks, full stack experience preferred
- Experience in rideshare, marketplace, logistics, or fleet optimization strongly preferred
- Ability to solve open-ended, difficult technical problems with little guidance
- Excellent collaboration across engineering, finance, and operations
- Excitement about learning new skills and owning outcomes in a fast-moving R&D environment

Expected Compensation $140,000 - $210,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
