Senior Project Manager

At Mace, we are redefining the boundaries of ambition. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of major aviation infrastructure, terminal, operational, and asset enhancement projects for a strategic client in the Middle East aviation sector.

The project:

The role will be responsible for overseeing projects through the full lifecycle, from planning and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, handover, and operational readiness. Working as part of Mace's integrated programme management team, the successful candidate will provide leadership, governance, stakeholder management, and technical oversight to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Do

·        Lead the end-to-end delivery of major capital projects and infrastructure programmes.

·        Act as the primary point of contact between the client, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.

·        Develop and manage project execution plans, delivery strategies, and governance frameworks.

·        Monitor project performance against agreed programme, budget, quality, and risk objectives.

·        Manage multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams throughout the project lifecycle.

·        Lead stakeholder engagement, reporting, and decision-making processes.

·        Ensure effective interface management across multiple workstreams and project packages.

·        Drive risk identification, mitigation, and issue resolution.

·        Oversee contract administration, change management, variation control, and commercial management activities.

·        Ensure all work comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

·        Support procurement, tender evaluations, and contractor appointment processes.

·        Lead project reporting and provide regular updates to senior client stakeholders and Mace leadership.

- Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and best practice across the programme.

You'll Need To Have

·        Degree qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.

·        Professional membership or accreditation such as PMP, MRICS, MCIOB, CEng, or equivalent.

·        Extensive experience delivering large-scale infrastructure, transportation, aviation, or complex building projects.

·        Proven experience in a Senior Project Manager or equivalent client-side leadership role.

·        Strong understanding of project management methodologies, programme controls, commercial management, and risk management.

·        Experience managing consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.

·        Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

·        Strong understanding of project governance and reporting processes.

·        Experience delivering projects within live operational environments is highly desirable.

You'll Also Have

·        Previous aviation or airport project experience.

·        Experience working within major capital development programmes.

·        Knowledge of operational readiness, commissioning, and handover processes.

·        Experience within international consultancy, PMC, or programme management environments.

·        Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and diverse stakeholder groups.
