Application Engineer

PrideStaff is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented  Application Engineer on behalf of a premier design and manufacturing client in the Odessa area. If you excel at being the critical bridge between technical engineering, field sales, and the end customer, this is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of custom projects for an industry-leading organization.

In this role, you will act as the primary technical subject matter expert for customized product solutions, guiding projects from initial specification reviews all the way through delivery. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical aptitude, excellent project management skills, and the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts to diverse audiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the primary technical resource, providing expert product support and application guidance to external customers, field sales representatives, and internal account managers.

Analyze technical drawings and customer specifications to determine and recommend the most effective, tailored product solutions.

Drive the project management of customized solutions, leading cross-functional internal teams and ensuring clear communication of project timelines from initial design to final delivery.

Partner with the finance department to develop strategic pricing calculations for both standard and custom products, ensuring accurate cost and optimal contribution margins.

Manage the new product release and transfer process, which includes creating part numbers, structuring Bills of Materials (BOM) within the ERP system, and preparing and processing ECN packages.

Design and deliver comprehensive product training sessions for clients, sales teams, and customer service departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven professional experience in an application engineering, technical sales support, or project engineering role within a manufacturing or technical environment.

Hands-on experience working with ERP systems, including structuring BOMs and executing engineering change notices (ECNs).

Strong ability to read, interpret, and evaluate technical drawings and engineering specifications.

Exceptional project management skills with a track record of guiding custom technical products from concept to completion.

Strong business acumen with the ability to understand pricing structures, cost analysis, and profit margins.

Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external customers.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $100,000.00 - $105,000.00
