Kick-Start Your Accounting Career
As a Summer Accounting Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience with Bourn Companies' accounting team while learning the processes and financial information that help drive real estate development decisions. You'll work alongside a collaborative team, build practical accounting skills, and contribute to day-to-day accounting activities in a fast-moving environment.

Accounting Team
Our accounting team contributes directly to project success by providing the concrete data and facts needed to make informed decisions. The team supports standardized accounting and reporting, project pro formas, and customized analytics that help evaluate project opportunities, costs, and value creation.
How You'll Spend Your Time Here
Interns will receive training and exposure across core accounting activities, including:
- Journal Entries: Assist with preparing and posting journal entries.
- Month-End Support: Support month-end and year-end close activities and learn how financial information is reviewed and finalized.
- Reconciliations: Assist with bank statement and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Financial Records: Help maintain and update accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- AP / AR: Gain exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, and transaction processing.

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Base knowledge of accounting through coursework and/or experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize activities
- Prior internship or work experience is helpful but not required
